Self Referral - Are you eligible?
Maybe Southwest takes a small number of self-referrals each year, for children and adults who are not receiving support from any of the organisations we work alongside.
To be considered for an assessment you or your child need to fall within one of the categories below:
Looked after children - Have been or are presently in a foster placement or children’s home. If you have a social worker they can make a referral on your behalf if you give your permission
Experiencing homelessness - Have been recently homeless or are presently homeless, or in emergency accommodation
Criminal justice system - Have been in prison or on probation, or under the supervision of the youth justice system
If you think you or your child may be eligible for support but are not sure or would like to discuss individual circumstances, feel free to email us to discuss this further. Please remember we are a small charity and are unable to help everyone who contacts us, even though we understand that the need for support is there. We will try to signpost you to other organisations who may be able to help if we can’t.
